SABRINA FAUSTINI
Biography of Faustini Sabrina, artist name Sabrì Contemporary artist Sabrina Faustini, known as Sabrì, was born in Alatri (FR) and has shown a passion for drawing since childhood, one that later grew into painting through years of practice within a group of painters led by maestro Benedetto De Santis, honing her technique and strengthening her artistic curiosity and creativity. Sabrina Faustini's work centers on the defense of life and environmental themes such as global warming, protecting and respecting nature, and desertification — themes found in works like "Deserti di Sale" and "The Colors of the Earth." She creates her pieces with the aim of raising public awareness on current issues, using abstract painting to convey hope for a better world. Since 1996 she has exhibited in solo and group shows at galleries and public institutions in Italy and abroad, earning strong praise from critics and audiences alike, along with several awards and recognitions. Dr. Anna Soricaro has said of her: Sabrina Faustini expresses herself through a material-based abstraction in which she hides faces and intimate emotions — an instinctive, unplanned color application, where the presence of the unexpected, the unknown, and impulsiveness comes through as a defining, decisive force. The material choices in Faustini's work tend to deepen a contemplative outlook, drawing viewers into a surreal dimension, toward new levels of imagination and understanding. Hers are "poems of color," vibrant like ocean waves, revealing a search for new visual horizons, colors placed side by side, almost blending, beyond the ordinary. Gallerist Maria Teresa Maioli has said of her: Sabrina Faustini treats paint as if it were a living body, layering it, pushing it until it becomes vibration. Color is never just color: it's story, impression, emotion. Faustini's material abstraction, while not seeking recognizable form, manages to evoke places and atmospheres with great visual power.
