ROSANNA DI CECCA
Rosanna Di Cecca was born in Calitri, a small village in Irpinia, on 11/18/1973. She's an artist who has turned painting into a means of exploring her deepest self. It was there, in her hometown, that she pursued her artistic studies at the Istituto d'Arte "Salvatore Scoca," graduating with top marks. From a very young age she showed a natural inclination toward art, but it was in adulthood that this passion resurfaced with full force, growing into a genuine journey of inner exploration. Through color and form, Rosanna has embarked on an artistic path closely intertwined with a spiritual one. Her early works depict animals, used as symbols to express deep, unexplored emotions. Over time her technique has evolved, becoming more confident and assured, mirroring the maturing of her introspection. Today her painting isn't just an aesthetic expression, but a genuine inner narrative — a bridge between soul and canvas, capable of drawing the viewer into an intimate, reflective experience.
ARTISTIC EXPERIENCES
She has held numerous exhibitions since her debut in 2017, both national and international, in Prague, Lisbon, Belgium, and Paris, receiving many awards and plaques from cultural institutions. She has taken part in the Milano and Venezia Biennales, where in 2020 she was awarded the Premio Salvador Dalí for her piece "Le scarpe di mio padre," presented by critics Vittorio Sgarbi and Salvo Nugnes. She received the Premio della Critica in 2022 at the Fondazione Benetton in Treviso, Palazzo Bomben, from critic Antonio Castellana. Several special mentions recognizing her ongoing artistic research have led to her inclusion in the Enciclopedia degli Artisti Contemporanei Italiani. She has also received artistic cataloging awards alongside Daniele Radini Tedeschi, art historian Prof. Giuseppe Giglio, critic Jean-François, and Bachisio Pugliese.
