AZZURRA LOBELLO

Azzurra Lo Bello is a Sicilian artist who graduated in Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Catania, where she developed a deep aesthetic sensibility and a personal visual language. She subsequently obtained a specialization in Graphics and Design, naturally combining the pictorial tradition with the tools of the present. This constant dialogue between art and technology, memory and innovation, is the beating heart of her artistic research. Through a wise contamination of techniques and languages - from traditional painting to digital graphics - Azzurra creates vibrant works, rich in color and energy, which speak to a transversal audience with immediacy and intensity. Her production is strongly influenced by the History of Art and the visual codes of pop culture. She reworks POP icons with a fresh and contemporary look, from famous people to ancient art, deconstructing them with bold geometries and bright color palettes, to convey emotions of joy and positivity. "Because art cannot be only emotional yearning" - she says - underlining her intent to spread beauty and visual vitality. Among the recurring subjects, famous icons emerge, often female figures, who represent a bridge between aesthetics and symbolism, between formal elegance and expressive force. In her path, Pop Art and sacred iconism, spirituality and irony, dream and structure coexist. She loves to continually reinvent herself and approaches art as an open territory, without rigid boundaries: for this reason, she also ranges between different styles and subjects, from iconic portraiture (Audrey Hepburn, Marilyn Monroe, Lady Diana) to abstraction. One of her most recent areas of exploration is Fluid Art, a technique that has been the protagonist of her second book. In it, she gives voice to the unconscious, to free gesture, to fertile chance, generating visual compositions that speak directly to the soul, without the need for concepts or definitions. A multifaceted artist, also active in the publishing and digital world, Azzurra continues to carry out a simple but powerful mission: to make art a space of connection, freedom and inspiration for everyone.
