GIACOMO LAZZARA
My name is Giacomo Lazzara, and in life I want to be a painter. I didn't attend an art high school or an academy of fine arts. What I know I learned as a self-taught, and with the help of painting courses, experimenting with completely different styles and techniques. I've been drawing since I was a child, I went from simple doodles to Art Attack works, to copying references and making drawings from life, I even tried drawing graffiti. Then between 2019 and 2020 I discovered abstract paintings, and from there I never stopped. Initially I painted a picture just for fun and without impressing a meaning. Then I felt the need to transform my art into the means to communicate what I feel. Since I made this decision my life has taken a turn, I'm learning to look at the world with different eyes, always trying to go one step beyond what I have in front of me. I always try not to stop at appearances and to analyze and dissect what I feel to bring out something new that can excite me and those who look at my works. I have set myself the goal of one day being able to support myself financially with my art and to be able to paint full time, so as to share my vision with an ever-increasing number of people.
ARTISTIC EXPERIENCES
March 2023 "I held my first solo exhibition at the Carrobiolo center in Monza. In this exhibition I had excellent feedback on my works, so much so that several of them were sold. The exhibition was structured to show my path and the evolution of my pictorial style." December 2023 "I passed the selections to participate in the group exhibition organized by the curator Chiara Croci at Medinartgallery in Rome. The exhibition was characterized by the judgment and commentary of the critic Corradini Benito from the Roman academy La Sponda. At this exhibition I successfully sold all the works I exhibited." February 2024 "I was selected to exhibit in a group exhibition of GM mostre in Naples, at Spazio57. Here, my work "Uomo moderno" was classified 3rd out of 30 works exhibited as the best painting for technique, meaning and visual representation." November and December 2024 "Also in the center of Monza in the Carrobiolo center I set up my second personal exhibition DEMOS which includes my three projects: Utopia, Eutopia and Dystopia. Here I made my most profitable sales and obtained incredible satisfaction from all the spectators." February 2025 from 14 to 16 "I participated in the national modern and contemporary art fair in Genoa organized by NordestFair (NEF) as an independent artist. Here I was able to compare myself with experts in the sector. I obtained notions and advice that improved my vision and my method in making art."
