MAURA GIUSSANI (1952) was born in Milan and graduated from the Art School “Beato Angelico” in her hometown. She attended a course by the master A. Marrone, from whom she learned the painting techniques that later stimulated her to experiment with different subjects and styles. In the two-year period 2013 – 14 she attended a course in drawing and live nude and a course in live portrait. Her favorite subjects are, however, the study of lights and reflections in all their manifestations. He has participated in numerous group and solo exhibitions in artistic and cultural sites of national importance and in recent years also in locations abroad (France, Sweden, Austria, Switzerland, New York, Miami, London, Poland, Dubai) receiving great acclaim from critics and collectors. "He plays with realist painting to address one of the most traditional themes in an original way: the landscape. In fact, if, apparently, the subjects of his works seem to be cars, these are instead only a pretext to play with the reflections of the cities he portrays. The subjects with the "fish" are, instead, a pretext to investigate the human soul through the events that life leads us to face, a way of escaping from everyday life and the conventions that society imposes on us, all always seen in an ironic way.
