FABIANA SORRENTINO
This artist has the volcanic energy of Vesuvius, the typical Neapolitan cheerfulness and the typical expansiveness of Southern Italy. Born in 1975, Fabiana Sorrentino was born into art in high school, she has cultivated her passion for craftsmanship since she was a young girl, she has a lot of creativity and excellent manual skills, and she is passionate about art. She studied as a humanist, graduated from high school, graduated in Conservation of Cultural Heritage and specialized in Management of Culture. She opened an event agency for children, organizes creative workshops for adults and children, creates decorations, favors and creative kits, then she toyed with the idea of having an agency for organizing weddings inspired by art and trained to make her dream come true. She attended several training courses and also practical ones, including masterclasses for florists, sketching courses, kokedama, then, finally, she met moss art. Fabiana discovers her true “strong colors”, understands that personally creating something gives her a greater sense of well-being than any other managerial profession, and launches A tinteforti – Creativity, Art and Fun, a brand that encompasses the goals and desires of a multifaceted personality, who is not content with creating art, but also wants to infect, inspire, and excite. She begins to create her colorful works of stabilized greenery - that is, plants and flowers treated so as not to age - with a particular philosophy: to spread creativity, to bring art, energy, and personality into the world in the originality of a new art, not very widespread, but extremely fascinating and exclusive. Stabilized plants and flowers possess in themselves the preciousness, durability and versatility of use that allow the creation of small masterpieces. Artistic compositions created using moss, lichens, real plants and flowers that do not require maintenance, but furnish every space with style and personality. But the A tinteforti works have an added value: innovative supports compared to those normally used for vertical gardens, in order to add preciousness, durability and versatility to the quality of the materials used. Fabiana finds that moss art really resembles her: it has a careful attention to detail, it is rich in symbolic value and uniqueness, in ties with its roots and positive energy, qualities that will certainly also belong to those who are interested in her works. POETRY I consider art, especially moss art, the place of blossoming, of authenticity, of awareness of one's strong colors, of creative self-expression. In my works, in fact, FLOWERS are always present, even when, in this art, lichens and mosses, or "the greens", dominate and many works make "monochromatic homogeneity" their strength. COLOR is always present, varied and bright, which in some works without flowers symbolizes the fullness in communicating oneself to the world, the will to show oneself with all one's nuances, without shame. A dose of EXPERIMENTATION is always present: in the materials (for example, working on leather and not on wood), in the technique of using lichens (the root of the plant is normally discarded, but with me it becomes texture; the spongy dome of the lichen is often cut by me to create a smooth moss carpet).
