NADA GRAFFIGNA
Nada Graffigna, born in Rome in 1969, set designer, artist, dancer, she cannot define a true boundary between pictorial art, movement and theatrical experiences, talents that she feels as a single path of life. In her art, theatrical poses, suspended in dreamlike spaces, very often in tune with natural space, tell intimate but shareable stories. Her professional career is rapid, as soon as she graduates from art school, she is introduced to the world of work following an apprenticeship (Dr. Mastrotisi who currently follows the restorations at the Egyptian Museum of Turin), from which she learns stucco and fresco restoration techniques. For twenty years she dedicates herself to building sites, restores and redecorates historic buildings in Trompe l’oeil typical of the place where she lives, Genoa, the Superb. Among these: Matisse Museum, Nice (‘95); Progetto Murales Casa Circondariale, Genoa (‘96); maintenance interventions, Palazzo Ducale, Ge (‘98-2008); construction and projects in public and private villas. He delves into various application sectors, including architectural scenic design, following the Master in cinematographic scenography ASC Roma (‘98), signs the short film “Tuffi” by Eric Alexander (2005); and assistant set designer in “Victims” by Anne Ritta Ciccone, alongside the set designer Maurizio Sabatini. (2010). Since then he has followed various productions and projects of children's theater, dance and musicals with national companies, including “Compagnia Teatro Scalzo”; “I sognatori del Palcoscenico”; shows for which he creates scenes and accessories (2005 to present). She loves the fact that her experiences have resulted in a path in which artistic expression becomes well-being, universal language and therapy, graduated DMT, she works in the clinical field with Art and Dance Movement Therapy with patients with Alzheimer's, psychiatric dementia and fragility (2013 to date). In general, she likes to think that art is on the walls, on the fabric on the skin, on paper, on canvas, in life. For a period she promotes intercultural projects and supports urban redevelopment projects including "Coloratissima", Ge-Sampiardarena (2019); thematic play and recycling workshops aimed at children.
