"Relative Time" - Fabio Tolu

Technique: Venetian stucco worked with a notched trowel, acrylic colors, installation of working clocks and hands without gears
 Size: 125 x 61 cm
 Year of construction: 2025

This work addresses the theme of time as a relative and personal dimension. The colorful gears, symbols of energy and connection, interact with the real hands—some still, others moving—transforming the surface into a collection of independent clocks.

In this way, time does not appear as a single, linear flow, but as a multiplicity of rhythms that flow in parallel, reflecting contemporary life made up of waits, accelerations, and pauses. The work invites us to reflect on how each of us experiences time differently, revealing the beauty and complexity of this relativity.
