Rudy Mascheretti lets his need for technical control slide to give space to the gestures of his know-how, giving us the beauty of the landscape of bodies, of time, of visual fragments as an emblem of a new emotional catharsis.

With this new series of nudes, he communicates his progress in artistic research. The female body is shaped by gestural lines. His play of chromatic contrasts, given by his expert sixteenth-century priming technique and the quick brush strokes that outline the contours, allows us to glimpse the sensuality of the shapes and volumes. The artist puts himself on the line and experiments. Mascheretti, known for his luminous landscapes, changes his subjects in this series, researches and investigates the pictorial technique making it the fundamental subject of his work. The gestures, the colors, the preparation of the canvas that clearly appears before our eyes, are the representation of the painter's expressive need. The female body is the preferred vehicle for the materialization of his creative path in progress, not still, in continuous whirlwind, as can be clearly seen from the more or less material brush strokes present in the paintings. This play of graphic-technical and chromatic balances are almost disturbed by some applied images. The collage technique breaks into the gestural balance, guaranteeing the painting a new level of reading and meaning, which distances itself from the technical will. Rudy Mascheretti, with this passage, gives us a new narrative, tells us about women, about their femininity, enriching the lines of the body with other meanings, as if they were symbols. Each image is in relation to the other, the fragments are intersected with gestures and, between these, they are glimpsed. The interlocutor finds himself having to come to terms with his own emotions, the mixture of techniques in the circular composition that he often recreates, creates a natural vortex that recalls the anxious course of the mind. The painting becomes the visualization of one's desires, memories, thoughts. The naked female body, one's projection, the underlying collage, the dreams to be realized or one's fears. The brown and golden tones balanced by the brush strokes of different sizes, white and colored, recreate a pictorial dripping typical of action painting where the emotional element is fundamental. On this basis we can affirm that Mascheretti's works are the representation of his deep desire for expressive research. The strength of the gesture, of the fragments, of the lines and of the outlined but not deepened bodies are the visualization of his artistic becoming. He makes us participants in his mental journey, he is accompanying us along the path of his soul. Although strongly linked to pictorial techniques, his path towards the need for a personal narration that tells on an emotional level of his aesthetic research is undeniable.
