ANTONELLA BERTONI
Antonella Bertoni was born in Mantua, she attended the State Institute of Art with a qualification in Applied Art in Architecture and Interior Design. After her studies she began a journey towards figurative drawing and the study of the landscape using various painting techniques until she concentrated on the watercolor technique of which she demonstrated sure competence. Her artistic training pushed her to try her hand at various expressive techniques interpreting the emotionality of the world around her describing with her colors naturalistic atmospheres also through the informal abstract creating chromatic games with a delicate and harmonious texture. The observer feels emotionally involved so much as to perceive an ideal space with shades that recall the rhythmic lightness of the voice of nature. Antonella Bertoni turns the same attention and artistic perfection to abstractionism with a geometric language that she has consolidated after various cycles and to which she dedicates an in-depth and wise study of color. The geometric shapes through the chromatic gradations, instill the sense of consistency, depth and light movement creating an illusion that leads the observer towards psychological and interior deepening. Antonella Bertoni boasts an important and constant exhibition path with institutions in personal exhibitions, participations, biennials, contemporary art fairs in Italy and abroad.
ARTISTIC EXPERIENCES
After my studies, during my artistic career that began at the age of twenty, I had the opportunity to meet great national masters from whom I was able to learn in depth the numerous painting techniques. This experience allowed me to experiment and approach my work with confidence and competence. I had the honor of collaborating with art critics of great fame such as Barbara Ghisi, Luciano Carini, Giulia Sillato, Ottavio Borghi, Giammarco Puntelli, Marta Look and many others who wrote interesting reviews on my artistic production, published in the most well-known catalogs present in bookstores and art fairs such as the Atlas of Contemporary Art (Ed. De Agostini), the CAM, Catalog of Modern Art (Ed. Mondadori), Puntelli's choices (Ed. Mondadori), Artist Profiles (Ed. Mondadori), and many others and in local and national newspapers. It is also worth mentioning my important exhibition activity which takes place in the most prestigious galleries but mainly in national institutional locations throughout Italy and internationally such as Berlin, Lausanne, Marseille, Barcelona.
