GIUSEPPE PASTORE
Giuseppe Pastore, born in Cosenza in 1980, has a scientific background with a degree in Physics from the University of Pisa. In September 2010, almost by chance, he discovered his talent for painting when he began to paint on an old canvas found at home. Up until that point, he had never used brushes or canvases, and the idea of dedicating himself to art had never been in his consideration. What began as a simple artistic exploration quickly transformed into an expressive necessity, becoming an outlet for his anxieties. Over the years, his approach to art has evolved: from a spontaneous immediacy characterized by the use of acrylic colors, he has moved on to a more conscious style in which oil colors predominate. Pastore's works show a variety of compositions, ranging from rigorous geometric shapes to more disordered and chaotic structures. In recent years, he has begun to experiment with light effects and three-dimensional compositions. Many of his early works explore the concept of infinity, a theme that he sometimes develops unconsciously, through the search for depth and the repetition of signs on the canvas, recalling elements of pointillism, especially in his acrylic works. Giuseppe Pastore's painting is strongly gestural and instinctive, approaching action painting in his early artistic phases. His continuous research and experimentation in the use of materials and techniques reflect a deep passion and commitment to art as a form of personal expression.
