Giulia Pomata, born in Genoa in 1999, is an artist who is emerging in the panorama of contemporary painting. Giulia has always been passionate about all forms of pictorial art since she was a child, for years she has searched for her path and her style, she has attended exhibitions and has documented herself on the lives of the artists who have inspired her the most, until she came across abstract expressionism and immediately fell in love with the freedom that this art form offers. She then began to create her first important works in 2020. Her technique is based on the movement of color, splashes and flows distributed in a chaotic but not random way, for her paintings, the artist rarely uses brushes, she prefers the spatula and wooden sticks that she uses to pour the acrylic giving shape and size that she decides. Her intent is to represent the unreal, emotions, feelings, moods. She prefers red, white and black because she finds them to be deep colours, in line with what the artist wants to convey with her paintings. Giulia encourages the viewer not to look for existing figures in her works and to let themselves be carried away by the strength of the colour.
