ROSSELLA BARBANTE

Rossella Barbante (1994) is an Italian visual artist. Her research explores the interactions between nature and culture in the Anthropocene era, through the use of mixed techniques and unconventional materials that challenge the perception of reality and invite a critical reflection on the relationship between man and the environment. A graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts of Brera, she enriched her training through artist residencies, including those in Seravezza (Tuscany) and at the Academy of Cluj Napoca (Romania). She was a finalist at the Art Rights Prize 2020, the Cramum Prize 2022 and the Arteam Cup 2024. She recently collaborated with the Westend Galerie in Frankfurt and with the Momart Gallery in Matera, with which she participated in the latest edition of Art Verona. Among the numerous collaborations there are also important spaces and institutions such as the Lorenzelli Arte gallery in Milan, the Mudima Foundation, the Diocesan Museum in Milan, and many others. He currently lives and works in Basilicata, where he continues his research, expanding the boundaries of his own practice through new experiments linked to the urgencies of the contemporary.
